Our Client is a global leader in HPL Compact with headquarters in Weert, The Netherlands.
HPL Compact is a composite (resin/wood) panel, manufactured in different thicknesses and applied in high demanding Interior and Exterior Building applications.

Over the past years, our client has successfully started to reposition the brand from a very functional and technical oriented building material to an attractive and reliable high-end solutions for contemporary architecture.

The marketing department has several important roles and accountabilities in the organization.

The GMM develops the overall marketing strategy for our client in close cooperation with other departments and is an important guardian of focus in the organization through constant alignment of demand creation activities with the chosen direction. In annual alignment sessions, the activities of all regions are calibrated with the overall strategy. These alignment sessions are lead by the marketing organization.

During the last years, the organization has made significant progress in the repositioning of its brand. The overall identity of the brand has changed towards more inspirational and architectural oriented while maintaining its foundation of high quality and reliability. The GMM needs to understand the importance and opportunity of a strong brand. He drives the development and execution of initiatives throughout the organization to accelerate the positioning of our client is a high end architectural brand. It would be a plus if the individual comes from an organization that lives the (high-end) brand.

Market Communication activities are the most tangible on how the organization is presenting itself to the market. The Marketing department is responsible for all content and branding of documentation, samples, mailings, exhibitions and other Market Interaction activities. The annual budget for these activities is around € 3Million.

An important part of the marketing department is associated with Product Management. The GMM is accountable for full compliance of the Delivery Program with all necessary local and global building regulations and up-to-date record of certification. Product management optimizes existing product lines and provides international technical support to products and systems.

Product Innovation has been and will continue to be an crucial part of the success of our client in the market. As chairman of the Product Innovation Satellite, the GMM secures balanced portfolio of product innovations in the pipeline and consistent flow of new products, systems and solutions to the market to retain our client leadership position in innovation.

Affinity and knowledge on Architecture and Design becomes increasingly important as the organisation repositions itself and becomes more and more part of the architectural community. The GMM initiates and coordinates activities to make Architecture and Design a more explicit part of the organization. This is done in close cooperation with the other parts of Demand Creation.

The organization is well wired into the industry and regions and picks up a vast amount of market and competitive information on a daily base. The GMM is responsible for acquisition, consolidation and dissipation of this market and product related competitive intelligence throughout the Organization.

In addition to the accountabilities above, the GMM manages the department, in accordance with relevant policies and standards, in such way that the department is able to meet its ambitions.

Travel requirements are expected to be 30% with at least one trip to Asia and North America.

To fill this position, our client is looking for candidates with the following profile:

  • Good communicator - articulates direction and decisions in way it reinforces the overall vision without undermining parts of the whole. High affinity with brand marketing – knows what it is to live the brand
  • Leads change, stimulates the organization, creates enthusiasm, inspires and persuades the organization through passion, respect and logic
  • Has a clear external focus, deliberately develops new contacts and relationships in the industry and is considered by the network as a valuable and respectable partner representing Trespa International
  • Understands the uniqueness and strengths of each team member and creates the climate that allows each individual to excel; stimulates the individuals and the team as a whole to reach higher levels of performance; sets clear targets and levels of expectation; leads by example
  • Results oriented with positive can-do attitude who gets energized by stretched goals
  • Down to earth personality, what you see is what you get, straight shooter
  • Comfortable to operate in an international environment – overcomes cultural differences – foreign living/work experience is a plus
  • Non-Dutch nationality can be a plus
  • Need to relocate to travel distance of Weert
