Subcontract Manager (offshore)

• Define our subcontracting needs in co-operation with internal clients (corporate and projects) for the short and long-term and advise internal clients about the possibilities or alternatives.
• Facilitate the continuous improvement for all Subcontracting processes.
• Provide Subcontracting input for the new ERP system.
• Familiarize and comply with the QHSEmanagement system.

• Under the supervision of the Project Manager, coordinate the activities of departments involved during project preparation and execution phase, to ensure the project will be completed in the most efficient way and within budget
• Review and discuss requisitions, technically, commercially, QA and legally, resulting in an initialized Scope of Work document approved by the budget holder
• Prepare Invitation To Tender packages resulting ITTs approved by the budget holder
• Expedite proposals and evaluate these on all relevant aspects leading to an advice to the budget holder and/or other stakeholders.
• Independently negotiate contracts with remaining vendors based on a selection of the budget holder, arriving at the best combination of price and conditions, resulting in a signed contract.
• Review and negotiate legal qualifications
• Assist the Project Manager in organizing the internal and external coordination of all Sub contracts 
• Provide budget holders and Sales Department with budget, lead times and contract conditions, produce spend analysis and recommendations
• Come up with creative solutions to tackle challenges during all phases of the project
• Within the boundaries of the Safety Management system, ensure the best result and profit
• Coordinate and discuss project deviations and additional costs with the vendors and keep a clear record of such deviations.
• Provide subcontracting forecast to the budget holder on a monthly basis

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably with pipelay and/or subsea experience
• Awareness and understanding of engineering design and calculations
• Background in Offshore technology would be an advantage
• Good management and commercial skills
• Experience in negotiating legal qualifications
• Excellent communication skills
