Quality Assurance Manager (chemical)

The organisation

Our Client is a complex business organization, which operates in 4 P&L structures with very different quality requirements. With 15 production sites in 3 continents each with different chemical batch processes, it is hard to design QA in one way. With this new position there is an aim to shape the QA strategy, creating a helicopter view with a continuous improvement focus. The position

You will be able to leverage the internal corporate network of our client and external orientation to implement best practices. You will, due the course, create your own team of QA specialists. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow your career at our client in her different business units.

This new positioned role gives you an opportunity to shape the QA strategy yourself, together with stakeholders at the sites and with the leadership team.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Ensuring that our client achieves and maintains appropriate levels of quality compliance (cGMP, ISO)
• Define the quality plan, including an internal and external quality audit plan, seek approval for it and implement and manage the execution of this plan
• Monitoring the execution of the quality plan and take corrective actions, in order to achieve the results
• Ensure the appropriate systems (e.g. Quality Management System, cGMP) in place and maintained, in line with all applicable laws, regulations and standards
• Plann, execute and follow up on internal and external quality audits, in order to ensure that activities are carried out according to approved policies and procedures
• Staying abreast of both internal and external developments with regard to quality related laws, regulations and requirements and all other quality related matters
• Ensure that operation directors are kept informed of quality performance on the sites and advise site QC managers on critical quality issues that could have an impact on product quality and/or safety
• Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer

Candidate profile

• A Master degree in chemical engineering or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Fluency in English (spoken and written), fluency in a second language is a benefit
