The position

The main responsibilities for the Project Manager include:

• Act as the primary contact for the clients, authorities and subcontractors
• Co-ordinate the preparation of the project execution plan
• Co-ordinate project activities of project disciplines in order to obtain an optimum performance for the project and the entire organisation
• Establish a multi-discipline project organisation in co-operation with discipline heads
• Give final approval to all project documents and project purchases
• Co-ordinate all activities related to subcontractors
• Supervise project related internal and external cost reporting as budget responsible person
• Identify and approve concessions, variation order requests and changes to the contract and subcontracts
• Co-ordinate the offshore work
• Supervise preparation of as-built documentation
• Provide continuity between different project phases and functional hand-over
• Collect, implement and use know-how and experience for the purpose of improving project performance and delivering customer service
• Promote and support continuous improvement activities within the Project Management Department
• Supervise preparation of project close out reports

The Project Manager reports directly to the Manager Project Management.

Job requirements

• TU/HTS Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Marine Technology with a minimum of 10-15 years experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry, of which 5 are in a comparable position, but otherwise in project management of construction work
• Excellent managing and negotiating skills
• Excellent knowledge of project administration
• Prepared to work on assignments abroad and offshore
• Good knowledge of Windows and MS office applications
• Solid knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both verbal and in writing
