HSSE Manager

The organisation  

Zenith Amsterdam Terminal is a state-of-the-art clean product blending terminal with extensive value enhancing services, including twelve jetties, butane spheres and the highest capacity road loading gantry in Amsterdam.  Zenith has transformed from a captive,  one-commodity and one-customer cost center into a world-class independent, multi-product and multi-customer diversified hub. The company is continuing to expand and diversify product storage and handling, recently completed a refurbishment program that returned 20 tanks and 2 spheres to active service.

The position

To secure regulatory compliance of all of the operations on the Amsterdam Terminal, Zenith Energy is looking to recruit a HSSE Manager.

Tasks & responsibilities

Developing and maintaining world class systems for HSSE. Regulatory compliance (BRZO), continuous programmes on improving several issues: health and safety of personnel, environmental obligations, compliance to emergency response and fire regulations. Training of staff and contractors in all aspects of HSSE obligations. Definition of goals and KPI’s for the HSSE team. Leading and guiding the HSSE team, including performance review and management, training and education. Managing financial expenditure of the HSSE team (operating and capital budgets and managing the procurement of all third party services.

Candidate profile

Technical bachelor / university degree, HVK certification, Internal Auditor and Incident Investigation accreditation. At least 5 years of management experience, responsible for goal and KPI setting and managing direct reports. A minimum of 5 years of experience in oil, gas, chemical or petrochemical industry. Demonstrated experience in working with, and implementation of, industrial standarks in a Dutch BRZO organisation.

Competences: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage all stakeholders in achieving strategic goals. Ability to lead a team of people, with a consistent and level-headed approach. Decisive. Attention to details, especially in the field of HSSE. Long term planning rather than short term fire fighting.

The offer

Salary € 90.000 – € 100.000 + excellent secundary package.
