Head of Quality

The position

As a member of the Sourcing Management team you are responsible for building an efficient and effective Quality Management System. You embed quality management and compliance in the organization, in order to mitigate risks of non-conformity with applicable standards and regulations.

In this function you are based in the Netherlands and report directly to our Buying Director. The Head of Quality has 2 direct reports, QA and QC Manager, both are based in Hong Kong.

Extensive travelling to Hong Kong and China is required in this position.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• Quality Management experience preferably with quality management of
• 3rd parties.
• More than 10 years’ experience working in quality assurance and compliance
• for consumer products in an international environment.
• Experience in working with manufacturers and external testing agencies.
• Pro-active.
• Business minded, helicopter view.
• Numerical and analytically strong.
• Strong communicator, taking others with you.
• Independent and pro-active with a problem solving attitude.
• Capable of supervising internationally based quality managers.
• Pragmatic and self-motivating.
• Prepared to travel about 50%.
