Head of Business Service Center Europe
To establish and lead new Shared Service Center in Poland for "top global retailer".

Organisation
Leading international retail organization with more than 250 stores in 26 countries worldwide. The company is creating a cross functional Global Shared Services organization to coordinate transactional work; initially in the areas of finance and HR. The center for Europe will consist of more than 300 people and is presently being implemented in Poland; other centers are located in the United States and China.

Position
Responsible for the build-up and overall performance of the Shared Service Center in Poland. As part of the global Shared Services management team actively involved in the further standardization and harmonization of transactional processes and in sharing best practices. Provides direction, leadership and planning for the Shared Service Center on a strategic and day-to-day basis. Builds up a solid and trustworthy relationship with relevant stakeholders of the Shared Service Center to ensure effective collaboration. Will drive new initiatives to create high performance teams, monitor metrics to evaluate performance, promote employee growth and provide extraordinary customer service in addition to budgetary accountability.

Requirements

  • An education at master-level, most likely in Business Economics or an equivalent field of study.
  • Ample international experience in a professional business environment, with minimal eight years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in working in a shared service environment and/or establishing a new shared service organization.
  • Experience and track record in change management and project management, running/managing transactional support processes/services.
  • Broad financial management experience and solid knowledge of finance and HR processes and organizational structures are highly preferred.
  • Excellent English language skills are required; (some)knowledge of Polish is preferred.
