Purpose of the Job:

The General Manager of China is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the INCOTEC Strategy, after approval of the Board of directors of the INCOTEC Group and in line with the strategy of INCOTEC Group, in order to ensure a strong, profitable and growing INCOTEC China organisation which meets the determined targets, and thereby contributes to the realisation of the strategy of the company.

Accountabilities:

  • Day-to-day management
  • Is responsible for the Management of INCOTEC China Ltd, which includes the day-to-day Management and the commercial acquisition of sales orders.
  • Strategy
  • Participates in the formulation of the strategy of INCOTEC China Ltd, consistent with the INCOTEC Group strategy, which after approval by the CEO & President of INCOTEC Group results in (mid) long term plans and a framework for the strategy of INCOTEC China Ltd.

Business Year Planning

Set up and implement year plans for the concerning key areas of INCOTEC China Ltd. including budgets, on the basis of the input also of the (staff) departments of INCOTEC, in line with the strategy of INCOTEC, market developments, and financial and other business objectives and after approval of the President & CEO.

Sales
Develops and maintains an efficient sales (support) organisation (including price, promotions and conditions policies), according to the framework of the year plan of INCOTEC China Ltd. and the strategy of INCOTEC Group, in order to obtain the quantitative and qualitative sales targets and to ensure that sales activities anticipate on market developments.

Marketing
Ensures an efficient marketing support with consistent performance, according to the framework of the year plans of INCOTEC China Ltd. and INCOTEC Group, in order to strengthen the brand and the image of INCOTEC China Ltd. in the market.

Account Management
Sees to the development and execution of professional account management, and personally contacts key accounts, in line with the year plans, in order tot maintain and develop (new) customer relations and thereby maximise turnover.

Market/Product Development
Ensures the monitoring of trends in the business, market and customer requirements and delivers input to product development and other disciplines in line with the INCOTEC Group strategy. This will help the INCOTEC Group to anticipate on business opportunities and the realisation of product innovations.

Operations
Organises the production function in order to ensure the delivery of products that meet qualitative and functional specifications at lowest possible cost prices.

Logistics
Ensures proper functioning of order- and good/service flows, in order to ensure timely delivery of the products/service.
Research and Development
Ensures insight in long term developments and identifies opportunities and threats, in co-ordination with other relevant functional departments within INCOTEC Group, in order to translate consequences into a consistent (future) R&D agenda.

Quality Management
Directs the activities of INCOTEC China Ltd. towards continuous quality improvement, complying with external quality and legal requirements and in line with the INCOTEC Group guidelines, in order to provide quality assurance for the customers.

Financial Management
Controls the budget(s) of INCOTEC China Ltd., takes corrective actions when necessary and ensures adequate reporting, within INCOTEC guidelines, to ensure that the INCOTEC China Ltd. delivers its budgets and commercial and financial targets are realised.

Human Resources Management
Organises, manages, develops and staffs INCOTEC China Ltd., in line with Human Resources guidelines of INCOTEC Group, in order to be equipped for current and future business challenges and optimise business results.

The candidate:

Our client is looking for a General Manager China with a background in agri-business with a preference for a Dutch/European candidate who has relevant experience with Chinese culture. You have entrepreneurial skills, strong communication abilities and a proven record in building up business. INCOTEC expects that the candidate (and his family) is prepared to settle in Beijing for at least about four years and will facilitate relocation support.
You speak English fluent. Speaking Chinese is a plus.
