Engineering Manager

The organisation

QTC are partnered with a leading class IIb medical device manufacturer in the Gelderland region searching for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8-10 maintenance and process engineers as part of the management board. The role will provide technical equipment and process engineering expertise while supporting the Global Leadership team with strategic input.

The position

As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the following functions:

• Leading the drafting and approval of the engineering annual plan alongside the global operations team.
• Managing and mentoring the engineering department on delivering major process continuous improvement process projects. Ensuring day to day engineering activities are organised and prioritised in a manner that enables
• Operations to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Identification and implementation of best practices for the Engineering Team related to engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures, including collaboration with other global manufacturing sites.
• Ensure strong communication and collaboration across functions and departments such as Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Commercial and Professional Affairs. Validation knowledge on Medical devices industry – IQ/OQ/PQ.

Candidate profile

• Minimum BSc in engineering or equivalent degree
• 7+ years industry experience within a highly regulated environment - preferably focused within ISO 13485/MDR
• Proven track record of managerial experience in leading teams of multiple disciplines
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred
