The Lifecycle Services team provides the service and support needed for the lifetime of the equipment. Foodmate is part of the Duravant Lifecycle Services global network, reflecting the company’s commitment to long-term, optimized equipment performance and customer success. The structure is designed to support enhanced local delivery of all services, from purchase to installation, parts and maintenance, to lifetime customer care.
The position
The Director of Lifecycle Services will provide leadership across a wide range of activities, including parts, field service, productivity and preventive maintenance programs, training, upgrades, retrofits, and digital solutions. This role involves developing and optimizing the organization, growing the team, and expanding the global service reach (excluding the USA) while ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitability. The Director will drive continuous improvement, promote both existing and new service offerings, and lead the integration of the broader protein division, ensuring synergies are created across companies within Duravant.
In addition, the Director of Lifecycle Services will oversee the division within Foodmate, a leader in the protein processing sector, and drive strategic, commercial, and operational growth while managing international teams across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This position plays a critical role in transitioning the poultry division to a broader protein division, incorporating Foodmate, Henneken, Marelec, and Marlen, with a focus on creating synergies and achieving significant growth in revenue, service reach, and profitability. This role presents an opportunity to be a change agent, building and optimizing teams and processes within a dynamic, expanding global organization.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide commercial and operational leadership for all Lifecycle Services activities, including parts management, field service, and productivity-driven solutions
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve growth in revenue (with a target to double), margins, and service reach while controlling operational expenses
- Ensure operational leadership, including people management, staff/talent development, and policy/process compliance
- Drive customer satisfaction as a core responsibility, ensuring positive customer experiences and long-term partnerships
- Take P&L responsibility for Lifecycle Services activities, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and profitability goals
- Build synergies across the protein division companies to achieve a unified customer-facing approach
- Collaborate closely with international offices, leveraging global resources and ensuring alignment with local market needs
- Establish and expand service contract offerings and develop the aftermarket organization for sustainable growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to reduce warranty exposure and enhance product and service strategies
- Monitor market trends to introduce and expand service offerings in line with customer needs
- Build strong relationships across Duravant’s operating companies, partners, and customers to foster innovation and collaboration
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in operational service management, aftermarket development, and organizational growth. Strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to influence teams are essential for driving the company’s strategic goals. A passion for innovation and a clear vision for the future of service operations, combined with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, are key attributes. This role requires a solid background in operational service management.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field
- More than 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a comparable management position
- Proven experience in operational leadership, talent development, and strategic problem-solving
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term service development
- Experience in the poultry or broader protein industry is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Deep understanding of operations, logistics, manufacturing, and engineering processes
