The position

The Director is accountable for the overall performance, key activities and decision areasof the label. The role will lead the executive label (customer) team and ensures the right proposition in the market, increase the financial performance, improve the professionalism (quality level) and ensure the label can benefit from central services and total group buying power.

The Director is able to provide clarity, set high standards, develop a High Performing team and create a climate that encourages people to perform to the best of their abilities.

The Franchisees and Director report directly to the Managing Director Netherlands.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To provide leadership for the Customer Executive team, franchisees and appropriate coaching and support for continuous development and the achievement of objectives so that a positive and high performance team climate is maintained;
  • To develop sales and profitability of the business, increasing return on sales;
  • Generate ideas about the future of the organisation and the service offering in the medium and short term and translate these into actionable strategies and goals;
  • Build trust, collaboration and engagement with employees / franchisees;
  • Improve the involvement of employees/franchisees in the organisation;
  • Monitor progress outline without missing important details.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate considers leadership as his/her primary role and has strong commercial and strategic insight, a demonstrable track record of authentic leadership with teams and customers and significant ambition for business growth and transformation.

Requirements:

  • Highly intelligent, university degree;
  • Experience in managing a decentralized organisation; experience within a franchise organisation is preferred;
  • Highly numerate, capable of assimilating and translating data into actionable strategies;
  • Has a good overview of market segment dynamics and is knowledgeable with Marketing, Social Media, PR tooling and strategies, having worked in a marketing environment is preferable; 
  • Extensive experience of business development and being successful in business to business environments, dealing with complex organisations and challenges;
  • A track record of developing long standing productive partnerships and an excellent relationship builder;
  • Experience in implementing strategic stakeholder management and working with senior levels;
  • An outstanding leader, capable of articulating a clear vision at every level of the business, of inspiring people and connecting at different levels in the organisation;
  • Personally resilient and tenacious, someone who loves a challenge;
  • A full understanding of the workings of the insurance, lease and B2B industry at a strategic level and tactic level;
  • Is able to work with a high level of autonomy, but enjoys and leverages being part of a corporate/global organisation;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and written).
