Hill's Pet Nutrition is a global leader in premium pet nutrition with a mission to enrich and lengthen the special relationships between people and their pets. We are looking for an Associate Professional Veterinary Affairs Manager to join their Benelux team.

The position

As a Veterinary Recommendation and BRMO Leadership expert, you will support and educate veterinary professionals. You provide technical training, organise seminars and answer help desk questions. Reporting to the Professional Veterinary Affairs Manager, you will implement programs for various audiences. You run university and nursing school programs, support students and specialists in private practice. You will hold in-clinics, ensure central ‘drive’ is up-to-date with relevant materials, complete Continuing Education strategy and track KPIs, reporting to central team. You support digital initiatives and increase engagement with Generation Z. You check labels, Key online, QR and marketing materials through Prodigy and Impira. You provide technical and business support while efficiently executing Hill’s programs.

Candidate profile

We're seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Veterinary Affairs Manager, who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent country qualification with a veterinary license;
  • Ideally, 3+ years of small animal clinical practice experience;
  • Knowledge of the pet food business;
  • An optimist in action, with proficiency in Dutch and French as an absolute must, and English speaking;
  • Hands-on "can do" approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly;
  • Experience with digital tools such as Google collaboration tools;
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with internal (marketing, customer development, consumer helpline, etc.) & external stakeholders (veterinarians, nurses, and academia);
  • Open to travel (expected field presence/travel: up to 20%).
