The organisation

Our client is a global provider of application platform as a service for the enterprise.

The position

As Alliance Director, you are responsible for driving the strategic relationships with a set of targeted and assigned strategic global system integrators, built on mutual vision, commitment, trust and business predictability. By developing demand generation activities and partner contacts, you build a pipeline resulting in annual license subscriptions sales through or with your Partners. You bring and keep the Partner internal community up to speed from a positioning and product perspective resulting in partner enablement.

In close cooperation with the organization and partner stakeholders, you develop Partner plans and take responsibility for the execution. This includes business development plans, training/education, pipeline generation activities, multilevel working relationships on both sides and joint offerings development. You ensure that Partners are developing their sales, pre-sales and delivery capabilities in line with the organization's strategy. The territory will be Benelux with expansion opportunities to EMEA in the short term.

The Alliance Director will also be responsible to take the lead in bringing the relationship to a global level.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor level degree or higher
  • Experience in indirect sales, alliance account management, business development or sales, of which 3+ years as an alliance director at a software vendor
  • Relevant experience in working with global system integrators. Experience with IBM GS, Deloitte or Accenture is a plus
  • Experience with creating differentiated and successful strategic relations and management plans
  • Demonstrated success in driving significant increase in revenue through partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining strong multilevel relationships, both internally and with the partner, including senior level executives, legal, finance, support, sales and marketing experts
  • Ability to influence functional groups to a shared vision
  • Comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrates use of critical thinking techniques in building new business propositions with partners
Salary conditions
  • € 160.000 to € 200.000 (OTE)
