The organisation
Petite Amélie is a fast-growing brand that designs and produces unique furniture, toys, accessories, and textiles for children. We operate international webshops (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, and the UK) and concept stores in the Netherlands, France, and Germany.
Jollein has been a trusted brand in ‘baby soft goods’ such as sleeping bags, blankets, and cloths for over 50 years, and also offers wooden toys and tableware for children up to 6 years old. As a market leader in the Netherlands, Jollein is now active in 41 countries.
Since 2022, Petite Amélie and Jollein have been supported by private equity firm Mentha to accelerate international growth. Together, we are building an ambitious expansion strategy—this is your chance to be part of it.
The position
As Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in professionalizing and streamlining the financial organization. You will be responsible for consolidations, monthly closings, annual accounts, and reporting. The finance structure includes 8 international entities under Petite Amélie and 2 under Jollein. You will work closely with the CFO, maintain short reporting lines, and collaborate with colleagues across the group. The finance team consists of 4 professionals in Weesp and 3 in Assen.

Candidate profile
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy & Control, or a similar field;
- At least 6 years of experience with year-end closings, reporting, and consolidation;
- Experience in retail, or at least with inventory management;
- Proven track record with efficiency projects and/or process improvements (a plus);
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Strong analytical mindset: able to deep dive into details while keeping the big picture in sight;
- Ambitious, proactive, and solution-oriented with a strong focus on quality;
- Excellent communication skills, organizational sensitivity, and the confidence to challenge constructively.
The offer
- Competitive salary between € 85.000 - 100.000 gross per year, including holiday allowance;
