The position

As the Head of Quality (QA/QC) and Qualified Person (QP), you will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities within the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all products are manufactured in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. You will lead a team of quality professionals, develop and implement quality systems, and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA/QC department, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with GMP regulations.
• Act as the Qualified Person (QP) for batch release, ensuring all products meet quality standards.
• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and manufacturing processes.
• Provide training and mentorship to quality staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Candidate profile

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Certification as a Qualified Person (QP) under EU directives.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations and quality management systems.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
