Currently generating approximately €2 million in ARR, the company is scaling rapidly.

The company specializes in AI-powered forecasting technology that helps R&D leaders and innovation teams identify and invest in emerging technologies before they become mainstream. Its platform leverages global patent data, natural language processing, and vector search to predict which technologies are most likely to dominate in the future.

The solution is used by multinational corporations, research institutions, and government agencies to guide strategic decisions, anticipate industry trends, and accelerate innovation. In an era of unprecedented technological change, this platform enables organizations to stay ahead of the curve, reduce uncertainty, and make confident investment decisions.

The CEO believes the company has the potential to become a unicorn in the near future and is seeking a commercial leader who can play a pivotal role in this trajectory.

The position

As VP Sales & Marketing, you will professionalize and lead the commercial organization, define a scalable go-to-market strategy, and drive predictable revenue growth. You will build and optimize sales processes, align marketing and sales efforts, and elevate the company’s overall commercial maturity. The ideal candidate thrives in entrepreneurial environments and combines strategic leadership with a hands-on mindset.

Tasks & responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and implement a strategic go-to-market plan supported by clear, executable sales methodologies.
  • Institutionalize scalable sales processes aligned with the buyer journey.
  • Lead the sales, marketing, and account management functions.

Strategic Execution

  • Manage complex enterprise sales cycles and translate them into repeatable, predictable processes.
  • Build a reliable sales engine to support future growth and scalability.

Team Building & Management

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing commercial team.
  • Assess and improve the effectiveness of existing sales and marketing staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Marketing Integration

  • Collaborate closely with marketing to develop targeted content, ABM initiatives, and lead-nurturing processes.
  • Drive thought leadership and strengthen brand presence in key verticals.

Market Expansion

  • Establish a strong commercial foundation in Europe.
  • Prepare and potentially lead expansion into the US market, ensuring readiness in both commercial processes and reporting standards.

Candidate profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial leadership role
  • Proven track record in growing B2B SaaS revenue with enterprise customers
  • End-to-end experience across the lead lifecycle (marketing → sales → customer success)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking; affinity for technical products and buyers
  • Willingness to work primarily from the company’s main office
  • Excellent command of English
  • High drive, ambition, and a strong winning mentality
