With Series A around the corner, this is a very opportune time to begin as the VP Sales to manage, nurture and grow the sales function. So, what exactly will you be doing and what will your desired impact be?

The position

First and foremost, it must be stressed that you have the opportunity here to lead a very well-funded sales org in what is a greenfield project.

  • You are responsible for new sales, focused on recurring revenue.
  • You lead a sales team that is based in the Netherlands, but that targets enterprise companies globally.
  • You will cultivate and foster a strong sales culture that is focused on continuous learning and results. Moreover, you will spark curiosity amongst your peers.
  • You will further grow the team by recruiting additional account executives.
  • You will analyze and improve sales processes based on KPIs: e.g. conversion rates, time to sell, etc.
  • You will nurture initiatives to understand and improve sales performance.
  • You will have a team target as well as an individual sales target.
  • You will present the brand at trade shows, events and customer meetings.
  • You will report to the CEO and sit in the management team.

Candidate profile

  • You are smart (academically schooled), curious and hands on.
  • An empathetic leader.
  • You like doing deals (next to leading the team).
  • You have experience leading a team in the B2B enterprise SaaS space.
  • You have a deep understanding of the enterprise software sales process and experience coaching AEs to a sales methodology.
  • You have an analytical mindset and are familiar with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • You are fluent English (ideally, but not necessarily, also in Dutch).
  • Ideally, but not necessarily, you bring a network in the enterprise HR community.
