My client is a global leader in premium nutrition and wellness brands, premium quality vitamins and supplements. For a new start-up in the Netherlands they are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager who will be first point of contact in their new office based in Amsterdam.
As a Senior Key Account Manager you will lead the commercial discussions with key accounts (e.g. Kruidvat, Etos, Albert Heijn, Jumbo) to deliver volume and sales targets and to help prepare for customer meetings, attend customer meetings regularly and report the minutes from the meeting with key next steps or actions for all parties. You will be responsible for building successful relationships with the main contacts and for expanding the networks across the customer organization. You will also let the total brand distribution (weighted & numerical) grow as well as depth of distribution.
On top of the above you contribute to setting pricing and promotional strategy and deliver throughout the year and through joint business planning process with customers secure brand instore competitiveness and deliver brand visibility KPI quantitatively against key metrics (share of shelf, share of SKU, share of display) and qualitatively against Premium, Proven, Aspirational strategy. You will help supporting all aspects of the commercial negotiations, sales development and customer interface and instore exploitation of key campaigns and innovation by alignment of promotional and sales plan to the overall marketing plan. You support monthly and annual business planning including delivering monthly and annual sales plans and forecasts to support the S&OP process.
You also manage customer spending and budget in line with allocated budgets, lead promotional and pricing analysis to recommend promotional and pricing strategy going forward. Along with driving sales growth of the brand, there is future opportunity to help launch and manage other brands (in baby care and nutrition) in the Netherlands, and build on the increasing ‘daigou’ trade. The role requires senior leadership and facilities management for the Netherlands office. This could include but is not limited to managing administration, creating new processes for the office to run efficiently, and providing feedback to the Regional Senior Management on the local team members performance.
The rightful candidate has minimum 7 + years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Key Account Manager in an FMCG/Healthcare environment worked with the named customers and a finished Bachelor Education. You have a strong track record of growing revenue and ambition to develop and progress in a rapidly growing business and a proven track record in field sales and ability to both build upon existing relationships and develop new ones. As a person you are passionate about health, wellness, mindfulness with great interpersonal skills and eager to contribute to a positive, nurturing working environment. Analytic, strategic thinker, leadership and an excellent communicator are words that describe you. Further, you are Dutch native and speak fluently business English and are internationally minded.
