Sales Manager Life Sciences (Benelux)

Ocean Recruitment is a recruitment company dedicated to the chemical and raw materials industry. For one of our clients we are searching for a Sales Manager Life Sciences - Benelux. Sales Manager job with focus on agrochemicals and feed.

Our client is global producer of industrial chemicals and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. The company's markets are o.a. polymers (flooring, compounding, wire & cable, pipe & profile), building materials (paints, coatings, sealants, adhesives and construction materials) and life sciences (food, feed, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, environmental products and agriculture). 
The company has presence in more than 50 countries with over 8,000 employees.

The position

• Plan and pay customer visits (if necessary in cooperation with application technology or product management).
• Present and sell the entire product portfolio available in your industry.
• Clarification of all commercial and technical questions of customers.
• Intensification of existing customer relationships as well as creation of new fields of application for your products.
• Initiation, support and monitoring of customer projects e.g. attendance during trials, analysis and interpretation of trial results.
• Processing of claims, in collaboration with further involved parties.
• Conduct negotiations with customers regarding prices, bonuses, and other integral parts of the contract (if necessary after prior consultation with Sales Director or Product Management).
• Tracing of outstanding payments of customers.
• Visit reports and continuous maintenance of information regarding customers, visits, competitors, sales volumes, etc. in the available systems.
• Permanent observation and analysis of competitors, market and sales.
• Permanent improvement of knowledge regarding products and fields of application.
• Prepare yearly budgets.

Candidate profile

You are a commercial driven person, who likes to be with customers. Furthermore you have:

• Strong academic background in economics or business administration.
• Relevant sales/business development experience (min. 5-7 years) in the chemical sector, with a strong focus on agro / feed.
• Trilingual Dutch, English, French.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation & leadership skills.
• Autonomous, “self-motivated”.
• “Mature”, organized & structured.
