The organisation

Our client is an international B2B manufacturing scale-up.

The position

We are looking for a Sales / Business Development Director with broad experience within consultative sales within a B2B industry. The position reports directly into the CEO.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Lead sales channels to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Originate and manage business development opportunities that are consistent with the company's strategy for revenue growth.
  • Develop a strategy and provide leadership for enterprise-wide business development opportunities.
  • Build a commercialization infrastructure and organization to drive market adoption of the company's products and be responsible for revenue growth within the organization.
  • Take a global perspective on market opportunities and lead in the assessment and prioritization of geographic as well as market segments.
  • Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure.-Develop and implement the company's sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth.
  • Assess, built, and manage an array of necessary channels capable of delivering on the company's growth objectives.

Candidate profile

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar commercial role.
  • Experience with consultative selling in a B2B industry
  • Experience leading projects across multi-functional teams
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing AND executing successful commercialization strategies in startup or scaleup companies
  • Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to think creatively and develop non-traditional solutions to complex business challenges
  • Outstanding sales management skill
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Highly result driven, passionate and energetic.
  • Ability to be hands-on as well strategic
  • Proactive, self-starter.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Dutch.
  • Willingness to travel
