The organisation

Our client is a molecular diagnostics company, based in Maastricht the Netherlands, and has developed a proprietary technology platform enabling detection and identification of up 22 pathogens simultaneously. Analysis is performed on a real time PCR instrument. The focus is on syndromic infectious disease panels and their RespiFinder test is used in leading hospitals throughout Europe. They are ISO13485 certified and all their products comply to the CE-IVD guidelines.

The position

The Manager Business Development will work closely with the CEO, and founder of the company, as well as with the Application Specialists within the company. Know how of the Industry, its Products and the do’s and don’ts of this specific business and its players is required. Improving the existing channels and rapidly extending them as well as finding new opportunities is a must for your success and that of the company.

A detailed understanding of our client’s Technology Platform and Products is crucial in your role to gain confidence and access with your market partners.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Managing the Current Channels as well as selecting New Ones
  • Build a Distribution Strategy
  • Finding and building New Business
  • Develop marketing in the broadest sense
  • In view of the Specific Products find and stimulate continuously Opinion Support throughout the Industry platforms
  • Underwrite and execute an Aggressive Growth Target

Candidate profile

  • Thorough knowledge of the Molecular-Diagnostic/Medical Industry and its players
  • Enjoy working in dynamic entrepreneurial team and a strong founder CEO
  • Hands on mentality and accepting the pressure of growth
  • A solid experience in a similar Business Development role
  • University education
