Our client is an international company in innovative technology and solutions with its headquarters based in the Netherlands and sales and support offices in the USA, Australia, Malaysia and Japan.

The company founded some thirty years ago in the Netherlands and developed into an international business with 135 employees and a turnover of € 35 mio. The company is market leader in its’ segment with a wide range of state of the art technology products.

The position

The Global Director of Sales is responsible for the overall management and the development of international sales activities. Based in the Netherlands, the Global Director of Sales is responsible for the international sales team (60 FTE) around the globe.

The Global Sales Director sets the targets, develops new business strategies and inspires and enables the team to explore new markets and innovative solutions.

The Global Director of Sales will report to the CEO in the Netherlands and will be a member of the global Management Team.

Candidate profile

• You are a seasoned sales director with a minimum of 8  years of relevant experience with B2B sales, preferably in a challenging and international environment
• You are able to manage your team on the quality and effectiveness of sales activities and encourage them to take sales to a next level
• You have a strong sense of cultural differences, you can identify underlying issues and know how to bring about change
• Academic level with a university degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Administration
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required
• Flexibility to travel (25% international travel)
