The organization

Our client is one of the biggest edible oils companies in the world, developing and providing value-adding vegetable oil solutions in close collaboration with customers. Close collaboration with customers enables them to achieve long-lasting business results.

The position

Main purpose:

  • Managing and optimising the product portfolio to drive competitive and profitable business growth
  • Developing new business through executing and implementing a well defined industry strategy in the regions

Role:

  • Managing and optimising prioritised product segments in relation to product range (including first choice list), value propositions and marketing material
  • Managing regional or global product launches
  • Participating in the global GTM industry team and supporting global industry strategy deployment
  • Supporting the new product development pipeline with clearly identified market/application needs and supporting market data

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Owner of the global product portfolio including product names and trademarks in cooperation with the BDM Director
  • Manage analysis of product profitability in the regions, suggests thresholds for new products and product exits
  • Actively working to find new business opportunities in the market (with BDM, CI and sales)
  • Support sales with price guidelines on request
  • Working with sales and CI to identify and develop growth accounts
  • Monitoring of competitors compiling a strong knowledge base for sharing
  • Managing the content and level of industry specific customer activities (Innovation day, Seminars etc.) and collateral materials
  • Monitoring the industry opportunity pipeline and guide sales and CI
  • Facilitating together with the global CI the internal training programs
  • Managing the industry web content in cooperation with BDM Director
  • Leading and executing BDM projects prioritised by the BDM leadership team

Accountable for:

  • That the global product portfolio is managed according to the product management procedures
  • Measuring the industry product portfolio performance and conducting the yearly portfolio review
  • The new customer specific product development and first choice product development
  • The regional and global launch of new products

Candidate profile

  • Five or more years product management experience within a B2B environment
  • Bachelor in food science or similar field
  • Proven track record in project management within cross functional teams
  • Highly ambitious and willingness to learn
  • Business level English, both verbal and written
  • Available and willingness to travel internationally

  • Salary depending on seniority max. € 97.000
  • 15% bonus
