IamFluidics® is a high-tech company based in The Netherlands that develops microencapsulation solutions for life science applications. In 2018, IamFluidics® emerged as a spin-off from the University of Twente, founded by Dr. Claas Willem Visser and Dr. Tom Kamperman, two visionary academics who were frustrated with slow processes and results using chip-based microfluidics for stem cell encapsulation. 

Their patented microparticle technologies enable the creation of next-gen products for (3D) cell culture, biologic long-acting release injectables, and novel enteric microcapsules. Their mission is to deliver high-performance and healthier microencapsulation solutions to improve people’s lives.

The office and production site are based in Enschede (The Netherlands).

The position

The Global Business Development Lead, works closely with the Management team and is responsible for bringing the IamFluidics® technology and its products to the market. By using your entrepreneurial spirit, pragmatic style, communications skills and hands-on mentality you will build long-lasting customer relationships in the Life Science industry. In this exiting role you will get the freedom to help drive the evolution of a fast-growing brand.

Tasks & responsibilities

• You will shape and validate strategic opportunities aligned with company goals.
• You will identify opportunities to build & validate value propositions.
• You will be responsible for business case development.
• You will develop a pipeline and deliver on the tactical plan.
• You will build and maintain new relationships with customers.
• You will create the event calendar and execute on this together with Marketing.
• You will represent the IamFluidics® brand at seminars, conferences, and events.
• You will keep abreast of trends and changes in the appropriate markets.

Candidate profile

• You have a bachelor or Master degree in biomedical engineering, regenerative medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, or similar field of study. 
• You have at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in a B2B international environment, preferably with knowledge and network in the field of life science, cell culturing, pharmaceuticals, CDMO or equivalent. 
• You have a proven successful track record in a similar role, with scale-up experience/mentality. 
• You have preferable a hunter mentality with technical expertise.
• You are a pragmatic and entrepreneurial spirit.
• You are willing to travel up to 25% of your time, across Europe and overseas.
• You are able to travel on a regular basis to Enschede. 
• You are a great communicator verbal/written and with strong presentation skills in English.
