We are searching for a European Managing Partner for an established tier 1 energy consulting business. This person will be responsible for building the business’s permanent presence on the continent and furthering their already excellent reputation across the energy sector.
 
Business development:
  • Proven track record of, and excellent skills in, consulting services business development.  
  • Ability to develop a strategy for Continental Europe market entry and an associated business plan for a specific target market, based on own thoughts and experience. Strategy and plan will be presented and discussed during the candidate interview process
  • Established personal network which will be used as a key source of recruits and new clients to drive growth of the new office
  • Outstanding desire to grow a new business unit without compromise in quality and reputation
Relevant skills:
  • Excellent industry knowledge (thought leader) in utilities.  
  • Client project experience with a selection of major energy companies in Continental Europe
  • Focus on delivering major programmes of process, technology and organisational change.  Experience delivering strategy projects is an asset.
  • Willingness to work in the detail and be a delivery contributor
Personal:
  • Fluent in relevant languages for initial target market and fluent in English.  Target market is expected to be Germany & Switzerland, but we are open to people with an ambition to grow a consulting business in other markets in continental Europe. Ideally fluent in French and German.  
  • Self-starting, proactive, charismatic, entrepreneurial and having a high degree of determination
  • Ability to attract highly talented people to the practice, and to foster a sense of community within the new practice whilst ensuring overall company cohesion
  • A desire to culturally differentiate from the big consulting firms
