The organisation

PSA Netherlands is the importer of car brands Peugeot and Citroen. It is also the importer of spare parts (original spare parts for Peugeot, Citroën, DS brands, and Eurorepar and IAM spare parts).

From 2017, the entire commercial parts distribution will be housed in a separate international division: PSA Retail Spare parts Netherlands.

PSA Retail NL will be a client of the European PSA logistic organisation (from one central European warehouse, spare parts will be supplied daily to Netherlands) as well as a client of the PSA Netherlands subsidiary.

In the Netherlands there will be established three Regional Warehouses (first will be operational before the end of 2016). The complete warehousing and distribution will be outsourced (subcontractors).

To set up this new organization and to show leadership, we seek on behalf of PSA Retail Netherlands a Director of Parts and Accessories; a commercial all-rounder who has an understanding of business operations, logistics and inventory management

he position

In this new position responsible for developing the sales strategy of parts (both in the dealer channel as IAM) for the Dutch market. You work in close consultation with the project team in France to build a team, which includes the following disciplines: sales, controlling, ordering and (in a later stage) a call centre.

A subcontractor will be responsible for three distribution centers and the supply chain of parts towards all dealers (2 times per day). You will be responsible for managing the KPIs as agreed with the subcontractor. In addition, you must not only ensure that revenues and profitability are growing, but also ensure that the logistics KPIs (delivery performance and inventory levels) are in order.

Your primary job is to maximize the sales and profitability of parts in the Netherlands. You will report to the Director Spare Parts Business Retail Europe.

Candidate profile

  • A commercial education on at least Bachelor level
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive sector (not just the distribution of cars, but especially of parts)
  • Extended commercial and managerial experience in parts and if possible retail
  • A result and customer oriented attitude
  • Demonstrable and proven management and leadership skills
  • Proven performance when the pressure is high
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Successful track record in defining and implementing commercial strategies
  • Proven track record in transforming departments into commercially agile business units with a strong customer focus
  • Sense of the relationships within a (French) multinational
