The organisation

This private equity-backed software group is building a category-defining ecosystem of mission-critical tools for the timber and metal fabrication industries. Their growing portfolio already includes market-leading CAD, CAM, and ERP solutions used by thousands of manufacturers across Europe.

Now generating €25M+ in ARR through a multi-brand, multi-entity model, the group is on a high-growth trajectory and aims to double revenue in the next 2–3 years through strategic M&A and operational scale-up. You’ll join a newly formed group leadership team backed by a prominent European PE fund, playing a pivotal role in shaping the commercial engine of the future.

The position

As CSO, you will architect and execute the revenue strategy across four B2B software companies operating in parallel markets and deal cycles. You’ll lead a 25-person sales org, report directly to the Group CEO, and help transition a highly technical sales team into a performance-driven revenue function.

  • Build and unify sales structures across ERP, CAD, and CAM business lines (timber, metal, and façade industries).
  • Hire, coach, and align Heads of Sales, with hands-on leadership where needed.
  • Develop forecasting, segmentation, and GTM execution frameworks across diverse verticals and countries.
  • Drive customer acquisition, cross-sell strategies, and pipeline expansion in tandem with future M&A integration.

Candidate profile

Experience:

  • 7–10+ years in B2B software sales leadership (ERP, CAD, CAM, or industrial SaaS preferred).
  • Proven success leading multi-product, multi-entity sales teams through €5M–€50M+ growth.
  • Comfortable operating in high-complexity environments (e.g. mixed deal sizes, sales cycles, and verticals).
  • Track record of building repeatable processes, GTM models, and team structures from scratch.

Personality/Soft-Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset — hands-on, self-directed, thrives in ambiguity.
  • Strong people leader and coach, capable of navigating legacy teams and modernizing culture.
  • Analytical and commercially astute, focused on growth and profitability.
  • Execution-oriented, "in the machine room" as much as in the boardroom.

Languages:

  • Fluent/bilingual German (C2) and professional English.

Location:

  • Germany, Austria, or Switzerland preferred. Hybrid setup with regular travel to group entities.

This is a DACH-based role, and a fluent/bilingual (C2) level of German is essential to be a successful applicant.
