Nobel Recruitment are delighted to engage with arguably Amsterdam’s fastest growing FinTech business to help secure the VP Sales for EMEA. 

The position

We are looking for someone to work closely with our regional lead through the next phase of hyper-growth. This position will be responsible for managing, developing, coaching, and motivating the regional sales team.

This is a critical hire for our client with your major goal being to achieve revenue targets, establish the sales strategy and manage the day-to-day operations of the regional sales team. You should also be focused on maximizing ARR, forecasting and attainment accuracy, sales team development, and building collaborative relationships at all levels. Tasks & responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Create and nurture a culture of success by supporting the day-to-day operations of the sales team. 
  • Relationships: Be the stand out and most visible leader in the sales organisation. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization (Product, Finance, Operations, Marketing teams) proactively improve client relationships and take part in deal strategy.
  • Sales Strategy: Initiate go-to-market strategies across the territory to ensure market coverage and revenue target attainment. Review team P&L and recommend improvements.  Facilitate effective sales organization design and develop plans for short and long-term growth, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment. 
  • Sales Performance : Maintain and review the sales organizations performance management system including reinforcing guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance, tracking, and prioritizing critical performance measures for all sales jobs. Oversee the equitable allocation of organization objectives across all sales channels, markets, and personnel; and ensure all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results.
  • Team Development: Create and nurture world class sales professionals. Hire, mentor, coach, educate, and identify knowledge gaps across the sales team. Define and coordinate training programs and collateral requirements that enable staff to achieve their full potential and support company revenue objectives. 
  • Sales Process: Lead the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure. Actively manage deals to ensure closure and prevent loss. Evaluate and refine the sales cycle methodology to deliver consistency, predictability, and efficiency.
  • Sales Management: Set individual and team targets that align with company goals, actively monitor key deals to close opportunities, and maintain a healthy pipeline to drive attainment of hyper-growth sales goals (100% YoY growth). 
  • Forecasting & Attainment: Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer segment base and extends market penetration. Use CRM and other tools to manage an accurate sales forecast (+/- 5%) and provide visibility to achieve growth objectives. 
  • Compensation Programs: Evolve, enhance, and manage the existing sales compensation program. Ensure compensation structure encourages the right behaviors and proportionately rewards results. 

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree with MBA desired
  • 5+ years of sales and sales management experience, ideally B2B SaaS products or relevant Industry
  • Proven track record of success leading a globally distributed team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel (post-covid restrictions)
