The organisation

Our client is a leading company in the diagnostics sector, specialising in high-quality hemostasis products and services. Renowned for their accuracy, efficiency, and expertise, they have recently launched a new product and are seeking an Account Manager to maintain their strong existing user network and further expand their customer base in Flanders.

The position

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the customer base in Flanders. Serving as the primary point of contact for both existing and potential clients, your role involves planning and conducting client visits across the region. You will provide high-quality commercial support through product promotion and follow-up, assisting customers in making informed decisions. Collaborating closely with users during the (pre-)tender phase, you will ensure, together with the support team, that clients receive optimal assistance in their needs, both in the use and potential acquisition of equipment.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage and expand the customer base in Flanders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for existing and potential clients.
  • Plan and execute client visits throughout the region.
  • Provide commercial support through product promotion and follow-up.
  • Assist customers in making informed product choices.
  • Collaborate with users during the (pre-)tender phase.
  • Work closely with the support team to meet client needs regarding equipment usage and acquisition.

Candidate profile

  • Fluent in Dutch; proficiency in French is an advantage.
  • Preferably educated in laboratory sciences (e.g., biomedical sciences, medical laboratory technology, pharmaceutical biotechnology).
  • Commercial experience in the diagnostics industry; laboratory experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently, plan client appointments, and manage relationships effectively.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
