Manager Asset Management Europe

The position

As Manager Asset Management Europe, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the active management of our European logistics real estate portfolio, with a primary focus on the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. You will lead a dedicated asset management team and work closely with the Investment, Finance and Property Management teams to maximise portfolio performance, drive value creation and support the continued growth of our European platform. This is a commercially driven role that requires a strategic mindset combined with strong hands-on execution capability.

Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, focus: Netherlands, Spain & Germany.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead and develop the European Asset Management team, setting clear priorities and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Take ownership of the asset management strategy across the European logistics portfolio, including assets in the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, as well as mixed-use portfolios with a logistics component.
• Drive value creation through active lease management, tenant relationship management, lease renewals, re-lettings and repositioning initiatives.
• Identify and execute asset enhancement and capital expenditure programmes to optimise asset quality, sustainability credentials and long-term income potential.
• Monitor and actively manage portfolio and asset-level KPIs including occupancy, capex deployment and total return.
• Work closely with the Investments team on acquisitions, disposals and development projects, providing asset management insight during due diligence and integration phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, joint venture partners and other key stakeholders across target markets.
• Prepare and present asset management reports, business plans and board materials to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards across all managed assets.

Candidate profile

• Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in European real estate asset management, with demonstrable experience in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing a logistics portfolio, or a mixed-use portfolio with a significant logistics component.
• Deep market knowledge of at least one of the core focus markets (Netherlands, Spain or Germany), with a strong professional network across these geographies.
• Commercially driven with a strong ability to identify and realise value creation opportunities, and to negotiate and manage complex tenant and stakeholder relationships.
• Solid financial acumen including experience with financial modelling, business planning and portfolio reporting.
• Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented; able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment with a high level of autonomy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present clearly and convincingly to senior management and board level.
• Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Dutch, Spanish or German is a significant advantage; Dutch in particular is strongly preferred given the primary base location.
