Mission
The Director of Operations Accor Hotels Netherlands (DOP) is responsible for the implementation of the strategy and objectives set by the network and the country for the brands Ibis, Etap and Formule 1 in the Netherlands, and jointly responsible for the achievement of the objectives for all Accor hotels. The DOP will be reporting to the Country Manager and will at the same time be a member of the board of directors and will work in close collaboration with the Commercial Director, Director Finance , Director of Human Resources and Director of Operations Mercure & Novotel in order to improve performance.
Perimeter: 11 Ibis Hotels (2089 rooms), 1 Etap (200 rooms), 2 Formula 1 (125 rooms).
The aim is to double the number of hotels in the next 5 years. Responsible for an annual turnover of approx € 60. mill.
Responsibilities
- Translate for each economy brand the strategy to the hotels under her/his responsibility and to inspire the teams to meet this challenge in order to maximize quantitative and qualitative results.
- Shared responsibility with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management in developing the Commercial Strategy to optimize revenues.
- Review hotels performance, identify levers for improvement and make sure actions are put in place.
- Encourage Career progression amongst General Managers and their teams.
- Help, Support General Managers to define and implement successfully their hotels medium and long term strategy.
- Manage and motivate General Managers and their teams through transparent and honest relationships that allow each of them to perform in accordance with the Accor values.
- Assure that all hotels respect guest promises (service, product and safety standards).
- Support and control the elaboration of renovation and investment projects.
- Contribute in growth the network of the brands in the country –including the launch of the All Seasons brand- , in line with Accor’s overall strategy 2011.
- Actively contribute in defining country vision and strategy and translate them in annual objectives to ensure realization of profitable growth.
Profile
- Excellent communication skills,charisma and leadership skills to federate, mobilize, develop and empower the teams.
- Capable of working in a network mainly with other support services (transversal)
- Bachelor degree in Hospitality management (HHS)
- Significant experience in the Hotel industry.
- Strong believe in Accor values
- Entrepreneurial drive combined with the right spirit of conquest
- Fluent in English/French and preferable in Dutch, if not willing to learn a.s.a.p.
