The organisation

Our client is an ambitious maritime service provider located in the city center of Rotterdam, Europe's main port. Their goal is to provide clean logistical and shipping solutions for their clients by using own assets and network.

Our client is the exclusive commercial manager of a modern fleet of dry cargo multipurpose vessels ranging between 2.300 - 8.400dwt. They focus on dry cargo, (break)bulk and projects primarily within the full Atlantic basin including the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Baltic.

The position

• Negotiate and secure contracts for the transportation of goods;
• Develop new possibilities and maintain relationships with etablished clients;
• Monitor market trends and analyze data to make informed decisions;
• Manage logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods;
• Handle and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during transportation;
• Stay informed on industry developments, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Candidate profile

To be able to be succesfull you need to have these skills and knowledge:

• Exceptional ability to negotiate terms and communicate effectively with all parties;
• Strong personal drive and initiative, and ability to work independently;
• Works well within a team to achieve common goals;
• Market Expertise: Understanding freight rates, routes, and vessel types;
• Legal and Contractual Knowledge: Familiarity with charter party terms and maritime laws;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English;
• Ability to build and maintain connections.
