The position

Founded in 1913, Stanley1913 has experienced record-breaking growth in the past few years. The company, known for its stylish food and drink containers, is streamlining its logistics and supply chain operations to sustain this growth. The Senior Operations Manager Fulfillment & Distribution will lead the effort of optimizing fulfillment and distribution in close collaboration with third-party logistics players.

Tasks & responsibilities

With Stanley1913’s more-than-rapid growth, organizing the supply chain so that it becomes a smooth-running powerhouse is vital. Stanley1913 is therefore in the process of streamlining its logistical operations and partnerships. The primary responsibility of the Senior Operations Manager Fulfillment & Distribution will be to bring rock-solid structure to this effort. In this, they will be supported by a direct report who is responsible for day-to-day warehouse and fulfillment operations, based in Venlo.

Stanley1913 EMEA works with different third-party logistics providers (3PL) in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and the UK, from which the whole European market is supplied. Stanley’s exponential growth makes for a challenging and complex supply chain and fulfillment context, in which excellent relationships with the 3PL providers and razor-sharp clarity on standard operating procedures are key.

It will be the job of the Senior Operations Manager Fulfillment & Distribution to optimize the 3PL-setup by building a thorough understanding of processes and conditions for success and cascading this through Stanley1913’s logistics organization. This person will analyze and utilize relevant data to manage the streamlining of the setup, creating an efficient way of working that can support Stanley1913’s rapid growth.

Meanwhile, this person will also be the key interface between Stanley1913’s e-commerce operations and business development on the one hand and the 3PL partners on the other hand and ensure flawless execution of sales orders, while building a positive and fruitful relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Aside from that, this role also has essential daily operational aspects. As the critical liaison between Stanley1913 EMEA organization and partners, the Senior Operations Manager Fulfillment & Distribution will oversee and manage the performance of 3PL partners to optimize day-to-day operations, lead the implementation of workflow and process changes, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. They will actively work to address and solve any issues that may arise. They will also monitor contract compliance and flag and resolve potential contract issues.

They will also represent the Fulfillment & Distribution organization in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles and stay current on supply chain industry and market trends to serve as an informed resource for internal teams and customers. 

Candidate profile

This role is the perfect opportunity for a candidate with a background working at or with logistics service providers, either in operational or engineering roles, and who has experience working with customers in the FMCG or fashion sector. This role also involves travel to Venlo and the UK.

Requirements*

• Over 10 years of experience
• In supply chain management
• Experience working with third-party logistics players
• And in fulfillment and distribution
• With(in) international FMCG or fashion organizations, focused on B2B and e-commerce
• Stellar analytical, problem-solving, and structuring skills
