With more than 50.000 employees is our client part of one of the worldwide biggest advertising and media network group. The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal support to the companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and is involved in all major legal matters.

Position

• Provide legal support to the German, Austrian and Swiss business units to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and to manage key legal risks
• Draft and negotiate client/agency agreements
• Draft and review key commercial precedents/agreements
• Advise on compliance with advertising, promotions and related laws and regulations
• Protect and maintain intellectual property rights
• Litigation and dispute management, resolution and reporting
• Advise brand human resources departments on employment issues
• Handle corporate and company secretarial matters for all Groupe companies in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland
• Assist internal and external counsel on acquisitions and restructuring
• Appoint and manage external legal advisors
• Manage and implement costs savings on legal spend for all external legal and other professional advisors
• Ensure compliance with group policies

Profil

• A wide range of experience in the advertising, media, new media and entertainment law sectors, with a specialization in intellectual property law
• Knowledge of employment law and company law
• perennial relevant experience in the in-house legal department of an international company
• Commercially focused with a strong client service approach
• Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
