The position

This Regional Director of IT position will oversee all IT responsibilities and functions for the Europe business entity. The incumbent will proactively manage the overall systems footprint, along with the infrastructure relationships, desktop/end-user hardware, helpdesk and IT Compliance functions for the entire region. The regional IT staff (managers and staff) will report directly to this role and this role will have a dual reporting relationship to both the Europe regional team (primarily) and the Corporate IT team (secondarily).

The scope of this position encompasses the responsibility for the financial/ERP/WM systems in play within the Europe region, all retail systems in use within the region, the partner relationship responsible for all infrastructure & helpdesk functions within region and be the liaison between Europe and Corporate for all IT related matters.

The Regional Director of IT upholds contact with the European board of directors and management of departments within Europe, the global Corporate executive and external IT suppliers/contractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the IT resources within the region who are responsible for the various systems in play across the region
  • Establish and monitor operational and service metrics pertaining to the Europe systems and support functions
  • Continue to standardize systems and processes across the region while meeting any local-market legal and/or regulatory needs AND complying with the Corporate standards
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the business team/department leads within the region. (This position is critical to the Europe Management team and will have direct access to regional GM and all of the regional team.)
  • Work closely with the Corporate IT team to be the liaison between Corporate and Europe
  • Be the regional owner of all IT functions and team for Europe
  • Proactively manage the enterprise and retail systems staffs across the region
  • Be able to execute the nterprise & retail systems strategies across all of Europe
  • Managing of one’s budget monthly and annually
  • Investigate and pursue various financing options

Skills & Attributes

Experience with the implementation, support and enhancement of applications, systems and technologies relevant to footwear/apparel production and distribution, such as:

  • Accounting & Financial systems (ERP)
  • Retail Merchandising / PoS systems
  • Warehouse Management
  • Advanced Planning/Allocation
  • Order Management
  • B2B / Order Capture
  • Business Intelligence

Other preferred skills and attributes include:

  • Be a proactive problem solver who can identify and execute both the immediate and long-term tasks needed for resolution
  • Resourceful in establishing and nurturing key relationships across the Regional and Corporate teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills throughout all corporate levels
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with stringent deadlines
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can both lead, and be a part of, highly productive teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HBO/MBA or equivalent
  • IT Portfolio Management experience
  • Retail and/or footwear/apparel industry experience
  • International business and systems experience
  • 15+ years of related information technology experience
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of retail or wholesaler experience

Location

The position will be located in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. Up to 10% of domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary indication

€115.000 OTE + car and usual secondary benefits.
