Security
ASML’s Security department protects and secures all of ASML’s physical and digital assets and is therefore pivotal to the company’s customer and supplier relationships. Public Led by Chief Information Security Officer Dirk van der Horst, it provides both first and second line security services and is part of Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) department. The team delivers global centralized security services through its operations center, cyberthreat prevention, and security technology. The second line security team, of which the Information & Data Security Senior Manager is a part, provides the security strategy and roadmap, assesses security risks, monitors compliance, and ensures policies and frameworks are up to date with new insights and regulations. The position

The Senior Manager of Information & Data Security drives strategic risk management initiatives, protects critical business information and data and ensures a secure environment for ASML and its personnel.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Information & Data Security Senior Manager plays a significant role within the ASML’s Security Leadership Team, ensuring the safety of the organization’s most important risk domains. In this dynamic role, the Senior Manager will design, develop, and maintain advanced risk management frameworks and collaborate with security professionals and Sector Security Representatives to drive information security and verify the performance of security controls across ASML.

The candidate will join ASML’s second line security team, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborating closely with teams of four other Senior Managers specializing in IT Security, Product Security, ICS/ OT Security, and Physical Security Services.

The Senior Manager’s role is crucial and strategic, requiring decisiveness and confidence in making impactful decisions. This role spans across all business processes, whether it’s product development, R&D, or sales and marketing— everything matters. The Senior Manager’s vision will drive the execution of ASML’s Information & Data Security Risk Control Strategy. Working closely with the CDO, the candidate will establish and maintain data classification standards, ensuring clarity
on what information is critical and non-critical, and collaborating across the organization to refine data governance practices.

This position requires tackling new challenges and solving problems collaboratively in a creative and supportive environment. Business and people savvy, the Senior Manager easily builds trust and fosters successful relationships with a variety of Public stakeholders and third parties. Confident and knowledgeable, they stimulate buy-in and influence the adoption and compliance with security controls across the organization. An excellent communicator, they understand how to navigate complex situations and can easily manage multiple stakeholders and tasks simultaneously.

Candidate profile
