The organisation

Our client is a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of high quality industrial products for a wide range of industries. Their global business currently ranks on a #2 position on its core markets with an annual turnover of over € 600M.

With global headquarters based in The Netherlands, it employs around 5000 people and operates in 25 countries (Europe, Latin America, The Middle East and Asia).

The company just merged and is currently being integrated. The combined organisation is on a growth and performance improvement path. In this context the build-up of a more professional HR organization is strategic for the business.

To contribute to the optimization of the HR discipline our client wishes to attract a Senior HR Business Partner Europe.

The position

The Senior HR Business Partner Europe will report to the Global HR Director and will be responsible for setting up and drive the HR Strategy & Operations in Europe. He or she will be closely involved in the integration process of the recently acquired business. Main objective will be to professionalize HR policies and processes, increase the quality of the HR and optimize the support to the business.

Larger European countries have a local HR team that will be functionally managed by the Senior HR BP Europe.

Candidate profile

We are looking for an ambitious individual with excellent leadership skills and sound analytics. The dynamics of the work environment require the ability to cope with a less organized environment and to implement structure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, at all levels and with people from different cultures. Flexibility and a significant amount of travel must be expected.

Furthermore:

  • The ideal candidate has preferably completed a MSc degree
  • Approximately 8 to 15 years of experience in international HR Management, preferably in midsized companies and in more than one HR discipline
  • Experience in an industrial environment is a plus
    • Excellent business sense and the ability to act effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Collaboration skills – make things happen even without the formal line of responsibility
  • Getting things done mentality – pragmatic thinker who connects strategies into action plans
