The position

We are seeking an accomplished HR Director to manage and guide our Human Resources department. The successful candidate should be experienced in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy in the Transport & Distribution industry.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
• Developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation
• Nurturing a positive working environment
• Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Reporting to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
• Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management

Candidate profile

A successful 'HR Director' should have:

• An academic background in Human Resources or related field
• Proven working experience as HR Director or HR Manager
• Strong knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Proficiency in English and Dutch
