The organisation

Rockwool HR has embarked on a journey to develop the human resources operation further to fulfill the increasing need for business HR support and people processes optimized to facilitate our internationally growing business. Building an HR Excellence roadmap and delivering on it, with an optimal balance between local and global, will be at the core of our People Agenda. We are looking for a value based Human Resources Professional with high integrity who can be a true role model of the ROCKWOOL way.

The position

As the owner of HR Excellence in the Group HR team you will manage continuous improvement activity with HR colleagues in the global human resources network. People will enjoy continuous improvement under your leadership and will recognize the benefits it brings to our business. You will identify process improvement opportunities in cross functional areas as well as all areas of HR. Your understanding of the business needs and your ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners will enable you to succeed in driving the change initiatives to support current and future business challenges.

You will report to the SVP of Rockwool Group HR and lead a team of 2 Process Implementation Managers. The position of Director HR Excellence is based in our headquarter in Hedehusene Denmark, but other locations in one of our European hubs may be considered. (The Netherlands or Germany)

Candidate profile

We are looking for a senior candidate with a proven HR track record of at least of 5 years, in handling complex challenges in large and international organisations. As Director HR Excellence you have a good understanding of stakeholder management from a headquarter perspective as well as local business perspective. Your experience as both operational and strategic HR Business Partner combined with your experience in leading global or regional HR teams through transformation is a key element of your background. You have strong analytical and decision making skills which support your result-driven approach.

Crucial for your success in this role is a strong collaboration with colleagues and excellent relationship-building skills. Moreover, your result’s agility will enable you to keep on driving the change initiatives to successful implementation. Your customer focus will ensure that the processes you develop and manage will be relevant and impactful. You are used to working in a multicultural environment where responsibilities are shared across borders and time zones. As an individual you are proactive and energetic with strong communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English. You are able to manage and motivate a broad range of stakeholders by communicating the big picture and translating business needs into optimal HR solutions. This role requires a travel percentage of 25%.
