Manager Structured Finance

Our client, an international equipment leasing company, was established in 2004 in response to the growing market in railway freight equipment due to the deregulation of railways in Europe. The business domain of the company is leasing railway fleets to end users.
Our client is looking for a Structured Finance Manager. The focus will be on structuring and/or restructuring of assets and may include M&A activities.

Location:

Amsterdam. International travel is required.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

• Evaluate all current structured assets. 
• Initiate project structures, alleviate risk, and assure syndication of commercial debt on the best terms. 
• Identify financial solutions and implement the financial structuring or restructuring of their assets. 
• Negotiate and execute the financial documents. These responsibilities are either for individual projects, portfolio of projects, new business opportunities or acquisitions and divestments. 
• Co-ordinate with financial institutions or syndications and external advisors. 
• Support the identification of strategically, value adding inorganic growth opportunities for the company. 
• Hold responsibility within projects for valuation, projections, modelling, risk assessment and due diligence.

The profile of the ideal candidate: 

• The ideal candidate must have at least 5-10 years of working experience, of which some years in a Structured Finance position, preferably within a leasing or banking environment. 
• Ability to lead and manage structuring and restructuring of current and future assets. 
• Experience in off balance financing and leasing constructions. 
• Proven track record in structured finance syndications. 
• Outstanding understanding of and familiarity with practical economics and financial analysis. 
• Hands on experienced in valuations, financial modelling and projection. 
• Proven project management skills including preparing proposals, investment plans, valuations, cash-flow projections, structuring and to some extent the co-ordination of legal and accounting matters with internal and external parties. 
• Experience in M&A transactions is a plus.
