Senior Business Controller

The organisation

This client serves customers in the Recreational Vehicles, Transportation and Façade market, globally. The coated aluminum is used, amongst others, for aesthetically leading facades, side panels in caravans/campers, roofs in busses/trucks and for train floor panels. This client has production facilities in the Netherlands and in the UK and supports customers outside of Europe with sales offices in China and The Middle East.

The position

The objective of the Business Controller position is to be the business partner of the senior management and play a pivotal role in unlocking the improvement potential of the segment(s) and as such have direct impact on the business. The Business Controller reports in a solid line to the CFO and has no direct reports.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Drive business performance
  • Drives the design and implementation of the business plans, improvement plans, budget and forecasts;
  • Is responsible for improving efficiency -Always be looking together with the MT for ways to improve efficiencies and to further automate;
  • Develops and maintains Business Partnerships and identifies areas of influence and ensure good partnerships with leadership;
• Reporting
  • Makes value drivers transparent, determines actions to improve and monitor progress;
  • Challenges, improves, implements and monitors financial insights and clear and concise messaging related to EBITDA, OWC and cash;
  • Improves business cadence (strategic planning, budget, forecast, actuals, scorecard/KPI tree);
  • Owns and improves Financial Reporting and Adding Value to the Business with special attention item on Pricing Management - including taking care of the pre-calculation module and Sofon;
  • Draws up the monthly internal reports for management with accompanying analyses and the explanation there of. checks and assesses the supplied financial data;
  • Oversees the business and financial operations together with the Finance & Accounting Manager. This involves developing, promote and monitor policies and procedures, systems, processes, and metrics to make sure that costs are under control;
  • Responsible for internal controls and processes together with CFO including the design, development and testing of the operational effectiveness of each control;
• Projectmanagement
  • Represents Finance in high exposure / high impact projects.

Candidate profile

• Master's degree;
• Minimum of 3 - 10 years of work experience in a business control position;
• M&A experience;
• Experience with preparing and coordinating financial business cases.
