The organisation
For a leading bank in the Netherlands, we are looking to strengthen the Finance team with a Regulatory Reporting Specialist. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, high-quality regulatory reporting and monitoring developments that impact the bank's compliance with national and European regulations.
The position
As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you ensure the bank remains compliant with all regulatory reporting requirements, delivering precise and timely reports to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the European Central Bank (ECB). You act as the central point of contact for both internal teams (such as Risk, Finance, and business lines) and external stakeholders (such as auditors and regulators).
This is a hands-on role where you work independently but as part of the broader Accounting & Reporting team, combining strong data analysis skills with a proactive approach to regulatory change and process improvement.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Oversee the bank's regulatory reporting processes (COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, LE, ALMM), ensuring timely and accurate submissions to DNB/ECB.
- Lead the monitoring of new regulatory developments (Basel III/IV, CRD V/VI, CRR II/III, IFRS 9, EBA Guidelines) and translate them into clear reporting requirements.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure correct implementation of new reporting obligations.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, internal teams, and external auditors to address questions or clarifications.
- Continuously look for ways to improve data collection, reporting processes, and automation solutions.
- Contribute to stress testing and capital planning (e.g., EBA stress tests, ICAAP, ILAAP), providing regulatory input and supporting resilience assessments.
- Analyze regulatory change impacts (Basel IV, CRR III, ESG reporting) on capital, liquidity, and reporting frameworks, and coordinate internal adjustments.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO) in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Regulatory Reporting within a bank or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of Basel III/IV, CRD/CRR, IFRS 9, and EBA Guidelines.
- Experience with COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, and related regulatory templates.
- Comfortable working with large data sets, IT tooling, and reporting software (RegTech).
- Analytical, accurate, and able to perform under tight deadlines.
- Proactive and communicative, with a mindset focused on improvement.
The offer
You will have the opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment alongside ambitious colleagues, enjoying modern facilities at a state-of-the-art office. While we work hard, we also make time for team lunches, fitness activities, and fun social events.
You'll receive a competitive market salary, a solid pension scheme, and reimbursement for travel costs (whether public transport or by car). We offer 5 weeks of vacation per year, with the possibility of additional days upon agreement.
