Function:
Monitoring and securing EBIT delivery of Enterprise Business Unit

Department:
Enterprise Business Unit – Commercial Management

Role purpose:

  • To plan and monitor segment, channel and proposition performance against plans and peers
  • To align IBP, VF Group initiatives, acquisition/retention plans and commercial deals on one side and financial budgets on the other side
  • To provide the business with in depth analysis of risks and opportunities translated into projects/corrective actions and ensure delivery
  • To set up, drive and manage a standard framework of monitoring and information delivery

Key Accountabilities

1. Planning and monitoring performance

- Daily/Weekly/Monthly review of all business parameters based on a standardised set of information
- Challenging and supporting the budget owners and translate issues and opportunities into concrete action plans
- Develop and maintain the Enterprise commercial models

2. Alignment of plans

- Ensure proper reflecting VF Group and Marketing initiatives, commercial deals and acquisition and retention plan in the IBP and monitor execution
- Ensure alignment of IBP and financial budgets and forecasts
- Frequent contact between Finance and Enterprise regarding forecast and financial reviews

3. Translate in depth analysis into demand and delivery

- In depth analysis of business issues and opportunities
- Translation of insights into concrete action plans, with business on board
- Support delivery and review of results
 
4. Excellent information delivery

- Support development of analytical tooling
 
5. HR
 
- Acts according to Vision & Values
- Is accessible and builds positive relationships

6. KPI’s

- Revenues and ARPU (per product, segement and channel) (± € 700 mln)
- Profitability
- SAC, SRC and Prolongation as percentage of revenues
- Marcom, Loyalty Programs and Opex as percentage of revenues

7. Innovation and Change Management

- Supports successfully implementing changes in commercial processes and distribution management
 
 8. Department plan
 
- Assists in defining main interfaces and 'way of working'
- Liaises with other marketing departments, Finance, Sales, Network & IT and Customer Services

9. International

- Sharing best practices/issues in VF Global community
 
 
Role Dimensions
 
Financial (limits/mandates etc.):

  • Indirect responsibility of overall BU EBIT (± € 400 Million FY09), being :
  • Revenue and ARPU of Inflow/Base/Outflow per product, segment and channel (± € 700 Million FY09)
  • Interconnect (± € 175 Million FY09)
  • SAC/SRC/Prolongation (+/- € 90 Million FY07)
  • Marcom’s, Loyalty Programs, Opex (+/- € 50 Million FY09)

Technical / Professional Expertise

  • Academic Level (finance / economics)
  • At least 7 year’s working experience in marketing/pricing and business analysis and modelling
  • Able to act on Opco management team level
  • Knowledge of Vodafone NL commercial model
  • Experience in managing commercial processes
