The Lead BPP has great an impact to achieve the company’s mission and exposure to the (supervisory) board and (international) business partners.

Tasks & responsibilities

Your 5 result areas:

  • Business processes + planning: an oiled machine:
    • In a fast-growing organization, business planning is essential to reach our goals and create a companywide shared view on how to get there. In that capacity, you own the business planning process (budget, forecasting, 3-year plan and our annual OGSM) and populate the content for the formal touchpoint with stakeholders (e.g. Qmeetings, prepare Supervisory Board reports) - both planning ahead as well as tracking progress so that we know where we stand versus planning and can adjust priorities where needed. You make sure that Homebase and the Markets are connected on this. You work closely with the strategy manager and with management (Chiefs and Country Managers) on content.
  • Business Intelligence: enable data-driven decision making through actionable insights (data democracy + intelligent analytics)
    • To make the right decision in a fast pace environment we need to be able to make data-driven decisions. This starts with data democracy: data with relevant insights at everyone’s fingertips. As the provided tooling is easy to use (efficient and intuitive and only Tony style) team Tony’s is made hungry for data to create positive change. These insights will give Tony’s a clear grip e.g. on progress made on important OGSM projects, business strategies and going concern KPIs. By creating one source of truth, we stop discussing whether the data is correct, and shift towards discussing how to improve, while basing decisions on facts.
    • You are a pro-active, open-minded, valued dialogue partner for the more complex business challenges and decisions to be made. Your team provides timely, insightful analysis of internal or external (benchmark) developments and provides advice with clear indications on possible limitations given the context. Providing guidance in how to read or what to dive deeper into as a next step is clearly part of the job. As a result, we see that decisions are based on facts rather than emotions.
    • You oversee that our data landscape is built on a solid database with the right (technical) interfaces so that we can rely on the integrity of data and maximise uptime of the systems.
  • You analyse results and provide actionable insights
    • You analyse results and performance on a granular level and are responsible for generating powerful data-driven insights to drive positive change across all markets and teams. You can bridge the gap between data and insights and understand the business and have the interpersonal skills to have these insights translated to actions by your business partners. You are the sparring partner for the business on complex and ‘non off the shelf’ analyses – from identifying data needs, challenging and sharpening questions (‘what, why, how and so what?’). You have proven experience with working capital improvements and cash flow optimization.
  • You drive business performance
    • Through financial analysis, you gain insights that allow you to use analytical rigour and facts in all key decision making throughout all teams. You build new business cases, identify and manage financial risk, help improve the performance of sales activities. With your financial analysis, you advise, provide guidance and are part of decision-making in strategic decisions for the markets. You can help identify and prioritize opportunities, help the commercial team with insights to have better commercial deals via the preparation of commercial dashboards for all retail annual negotiations.
  • Leading team BBP
    • You’re heading up team BBP, investing in their personal growth and coach and inspiring the team, so they can perform best.

Candidate profile

You have a Master’s degree in business economics-related fields preferably in combination with a RA or RC degree. You started your career in Big4, (strategy) consulting or M&A. Currently you work as a (Business) Controller or Manager FP&A in a challenging environment with high standards. Experience in working within an FMCG/Retail area or international fast growing environment is a plus. You have strong analytical, communication and consulting skills. You are organizational sensitive and have the ability to switch in different styles/types of communication.

You are effective in leading a team and take your time to coach people. In your work, you are pragmatic and flexible. You have a hands-on mentality, and you love to contribute to a growing organization in an entrepreneurial setting.

In your field, you want to make an impact and achievements. Even under pressure, you like the challenge and will perform effectively. As a person, you are likable, innovative and passionate about the greater good. Strong English verbal and written language skills are required.

And last but definitely not least, you can make chocolate from anything:

  • Deal smoothly with the changes that come with a growing company & contribute positively to the performance of team Tony’s.
  • Jump in, help each other and regularly get coffee or tea for another Tony.
  • Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.
  • Live our core values: outspoken, wilful, entrepreneurial and makes you smile
