Head of Product (Capital Markets, Regulatory, and FinTech Exp.)

The position

The role will be the company’s first product specialist and oversee remote initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to devise customised solutions. This pivotal role includes spearheading the creation of the first system of its type across the EU, ensuring seamless alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Within the organisation, this role involves interactions with critical experts. You will work closely with the CEO on strategic insights and interpretation of regulatory texts and the CTO for technology-related aspects, acting as the product owner for system development. As a part of a seasoned team of agile professionals across Europe, you will aim to establish the inaugural system that collates real-time exchange-listed data, such as price and volume, and disseminates it to investors.

This position requires a nuanced blend of market expertise, organisational acumen, stakeholder management, and creative problem-solving.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Working with the CEO, you will network with the market community to collect needs and define/manage user groups, typically retail, buy, and sell-side businesses.
• You will define and design the product strategy by conducting extensive discovery on the market’s known and evolving regulatory texts.
• Once you have helped create the core service offering, you can define and develop additional features to secure future users.
• You will have to assess the proposed service concerning competitors’ offerings to ensure their USP is the most substantial service offer in the market.
• Design the data set and reports, which will be available to the external stakeholders.

As the first person working exclusively on the product, you must do some product ownership. Therefore, even though you are joining as a senior team member, you must be willing to draft requirements for the different services. You will also define the delivery strategy by prioritising features and balancing requirements from all stakeholders. You will also be responsible for launching market studies and collecting available information from existing studies, which is essential for the product design.
