For our client, RBS, we are looking for a

Head of EMEA Network Solutions

The department:

GTS Global Payments EMEA, Client Proposition Service is a regional department Global Payments workin closely with GTS international-Liquidity & Investment Management and GTS EMEA Sales that deliver market, client and coverage feedback to International Cash Management Product teams within Global Transaction Services business to prioritize product development, so that it is complementary to the overall regional business strategy.

We drive exceptional performance, through focussed market campaigns agreed with Sales, in order to maximise growth in International Cash Management volumes, revenues and profitability, ensuring that the Global Payments & i-LIM product offering meets the needs of both the domestic and international client base of the RBS Group, as defined by competitor awareness and client feedback via Sales.

The team work closely with GBM,GNB & GTS Sales heads to grow the Global Payments & i-LIM ICM product in line with client needs, representing i-LIM and Global Payments in the regional product, Sales, Technology, Risk and Business services forums. Support and drive liquidity synergies agreed with i-LIM via global mandates with focus on EMEA cash solutions and facilitate inbound deal success in the Corporate sectors.

Your role:

  • Achievement of product income, cost and profit, customer satisfaction and volume targets within International Payment business, with income currently c£150m.
  • Manage existing UK NV payments and receivable proposition via BACS;
  • Responsible for leading the Partner Banking activities from a Corporate proposition perspective; delivering through the FI and Non-Core organisations
    • Current Partner Bank & Agency Network (including RBS plc)
    • Exit/Non-Core Countries
    • Leveraging SWIFT, IBOS, card & clearing infrastructures to expand value to RBSG customer base in a lean SaaS / Swiftnet-type operating environment.
  • Drive and develop short, medium and longer term business plans in respect of overall EMEA Market, product and partnering strategy for EMEA Payments Proposition currently under management (including non-core) and future development, specifically though value review of RBS Network & customer-required markets & strategic partnerships with Swift;  Payment Institutions / technology providers to create & facilitate value
  • Be "centre of excellence" for all aspects EMEA Payments Propositions, specifically around Digital and Mobile Banking & Payments & B2B / P2P initiatives.
  • Develop, match and migrate RBSG’s payment instrument mix to meet complex & evolving business needs of GTS EMEA franchise for corporate and NBFI. 
  • Managing key relationships to senior stakeholders across GTS Origination; Product; GNB, GBM, Business Services & Client Services orgs.  
  • Accountable for the overall performance and development of ICM specialists within team, with specific SME.
  • Undertake Programme Management for multiple projects as they impact EMEA payments business.
  • Involvement in high level analysis, decision making and internal / external liaison for EMEA product portfolio with key business partners and external stakeholders.
  • Commercialization internally & externally of Payment propositions (including channels) – thought leadership positions; industry, standards & conference presence.

Your profile:

Experience: 

  • Commercially focussed with min 7 years in product management role, managing a product management team of no less than 5 -7  managers and dealing with Senior stakeholders
  • Prior experience of managing high performing teams in a product and/or sales environment to drive revenue growth and profitability. 
  • Direct work experience working in multiple countries and across segments.
  • Experience managing complex cross sector deliverables.
  • Experience developing and delivering bespoke and/or complex client solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of good performance in a relevant discipline ideally with a suitable professional / technical qualification.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong business perspective on technical, product and market infrastructure issues
  • Suitable professional / technical qualification e.g. CERT ICM.
  • Well developed knowledge of Corporate market place, International Cash Management solutions  and customer needs
  • Understanding of a global bank systems relating to product sets
  • Indepth Knowledge, based on implementation  of developments in market place relating to EMEA, E-commerce initiatives ; digital and mobile initiatives

People Management:

  • Number of employees supervised / managed – minimum 5-7
  • People-management responsibilities

  • Demonstrate track-record of building & sustaining a high-performing, entrepreneurial team culture

Financial Management:

Responsible for an income stream of c£150m covering EMEA Transactional Fees
