The position

ASML is the global leader in advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. The Head of Business Insights & Control – Capital Efficiency will shape the growing organization’s financial strategies and operations, leading a team of approximately 25 FTEs and managing crucial financial processes, including enabling effective working capital and cash flow management.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Head of Business Insights & Control – Capital Efficiency will drive critical financial insights, ensuring that ASML’s capital is utilized efficiently, and enabling strategic investments that propel the company’s growth. Playing an essential role in shaping the company’s financial future, the candidate will lead a specialized team focused on comprehensive balance sheet and cash flow management. This role encompasses overseeing critical financial areas such as capital expenditures, inventory projections, and general working capital analysis, ensuring a strategic approach to ASML’s financial health that spans far beyond the regular profit and loss focus. The team of approximately 25 professionals, is structured into the following main units: Capital expenditures, Corporate Real Estate Analytics, Inventory, and Working Capital Analysis. They are responsible for intricate financial metrics like cash conversion cycle, return on invested capital, and cash conversion rates. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with international teams to ensure a unified approach to ASML’s financial strategies and enhancing global capital
efficiency.

A confident and inspirational leader, the candidate will be crucial in aligning these teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that financial data is not only accurate but also actionable for decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. The Head of Business Insights & Control – Capital Efficiency will report to the Head of BI&C and join a leadership team of five directors overseeing different parts of the BI&C organization. This department handles global financial analysis and business partnering, covering all ASML business lines, sectors and a consolidated financial view. The candidate will serve as a senior finance leader within the organization, also acting as a subject matter expert and contributing to improvement projects aligned with ASML’s Future Finance vision. The right candidate is curious, analytical and learns quickly. Gaining a strong understanding of the intricacies of ASML’s operations is critical to success in this highly visible leadership position. From day one, the candidate will have direct interaction with ASML’s executive management and regularly be exposed to complex questions from senior leaders who possess deep industry knowledge.
