Group Financial & Business Controller

Strong business partner in an entrepreneurial environment

Position

Reporting to the Abellio Group CFO and in close cooperation with in-country Finance Directors you will be responsible for introducing and maintaining a robust international control framework, including financial consolidation, reporting and analysis. Partnering with NS Group you will also focus on corporate treasury matters, audit and audit committees, processing investment proposals and corporate governance. You will need to ensure Abellio’s working capital, financing and investment funding requirements are met.

Profile

• A bachelor’s or academic degree in finance / business economics, such as accountancy with appropriate post-graduate accounting qualifications.
• A minimum of  six years’ experience in finance and controlling within a European company.
• Transport sector exposure is a benefit and familiarity with international accounting principles in the Netherlands and the UK is important.
• Knowledge and experience in M&A, financial due diligence, post acquisition integration and developing commercial investment proposals for large public sector tenders is also valuable.
• You must be fluent in Dutch and English and willing to travel frequently within Europe, mainly to Germany and the UK.
