Finance Operations Manager

The organisation 

For my client I am recruiting (executive search) an eager Finance & Operations Manager to join their team. Up until now their team has been mainly concerned with designing and creating an innovative product that will be production ready within the set timelines. As they are getting closer to start of production, their cash flows and forecasts are getting more and more critical. 

My client is a dynamic and ever growing company and they are reinventing personal smart mobility in the automotive industry. Joining the company in the role of Finance & Operations Manager means the opportunity to structure and implement the finance strategy and to assist the company in maintaining a financially stable position.

The position

For this position I am looking for someone who's gained experience and knowledge at management consulting firms. Someone who has done multiple projects within the company’s industry, and who is able to share and implement best practices. Especially experience in operations will be valued. Working for a young company means picking up tasks and responsibilities where needed, and this makes it a great possibility to set and influence structures and processes going forward.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Optimize cash flow, with particular focus on production, marketing spend and inventory buys; 
• Monitor the company’s performance and efficiency to make improvements and address problems; 
• Analyse the company's finances and spending, and manage resources accordingly; 
• Support in raising debt and equity financing from banks, private and institutional investors; 
• Provide the right information for key decisions to be made and taking an active role in the decision making process; 
• Report financial results to the board and shareholders; 
• Provide realistic prognosis of financial position over time; 
• Manage external relationships with bookkeepers and lawyer.

Candidate profile

As a Finance & Operations Manager you hold a Master's' Degree in Econometrics, Industrial Engineering Management, Business Administration or similar. You have completed this with 2-7 years' working experience of which at least 2 as a strategy / management consultant (with at least one case related to automotive - manufacturing). Solid knowledge on finance, preferably also tax and law and experience in designing and implementing financial structure and processes is a must.

You have extraordinary interest in startups and the automotive - manufacturing industry and a clear vision of how to establish stable structure in a young and continuously growing business environment. Therefore you demonstrate the ability to see the bigger picture / think broadly while also diving down into details. Obviously as a Finance & Operations Manager you are a self-starter with a sense of urgency – high energy level, persistent, curious – a strong entrepreneurial spirit. 

You do have an excellent teamwork mindset; a communicator at all levels and your social skills are good. Highly appreciated is your uncompromising personal integrity. You have outstanding knowledge of the Dutch and English language (if not don’t apply because applications will not be taken into this procedure).
