Our client is a stock quoted highly ambitious and fast paced professional services organisation.

The position

The Country CFO is one of the most senior positions in the global company, and will report in straight line to the local Country Head, in dotted line to the Global CFO. The Country CFO oversees all local Dutch Finance operations and all holding activities, and acts as a senior sparring partner for the business. For this position we are looking for a finance professional with a strong business acumen, a clear communicator, team player and outspoken driver of financial discipline and result. The company's Shared Service Centre is based abroad. All IT support is managed centrally from here. Controlling and Consolidation activities are also being run out of here.

Tasks & responsibilities

In this vital, and independent role, you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage, coach and build the Dutch Finance team of approximately five right now, and oversee daily operations of the teamDrive, co-ordinate and complete the company’s annual report and audit and co-coordinate local statutory audits
• Act as the accounting expert and business partner to support complex accounting topics and ensure compliance and accuracy of the IFRS accounting & reporting standards
• Manage all finance related holding activities of a large number of legal entities globally
• Manager all intercompany balances
• Provide recommendations to stakeholders involved and ensure improvement of systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Review, analyse, and recommend process improvements. Provide periodic reporting and advise or assist in mitigating control deficiencies and developing internal controls
• Be the true business partner and sparring partner for the Country management team, shared service centre and (finance) management through value adding analysis and support on finance related issues
• Participate in and/or manage ad-hoc finance projects across the organization
• Support and advise senior management on new or existing activities to base decisions on valid economic considerations

Candidate profile

The position of Country CFO is initially strongly accounting based. Because of the expected strong growth the Dutch organisation and the company as a whole will go through, the position of Country CFO will quickly evolve into a more broad position. Our client is a result driven company, and the Country CFO is also expected to add value and be highly business and commercially orientated.

• Successfully completed Bachelor or Masters degree in Business Administration or Economics
• Over 10 years relevant work experience
• Excellent English communication skills on all levels of the organization, fluency is a must
•  Hands-on and very practical attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience in working in a fast paced company with high demands
• Experience in a multinational working environment
• Experience in managing a multitude of entities
